I recently came across this somewhat disturbing, voyeuristic first-person video of Ye’s life:
It uses AI to recreate his partner, the design of his home, and his life as a celebrity from the first person perspective. I definitely do not condone this kind of content as I don’t think it respects his privacy.
I don’t even know where to begin.
For one thing, what is the point of achieving success if you can boot into a version of yourself or someone else’s life who is already successful? Kanye’s life is no ordinary life, he probably experiences things regularly that a normal person would never get to experience. Like performing in front of a stadium audience or dining with a supermodel.
How many lives could we live by going through multiple detailed experiences like this? Could we become wiser from this process?
I’m reminded of this episode of Rick and Morty, where Morty experiences a whole life in a video game and then becomes detached to life itself:
Isn’t it just so creepy? The things people could generate and watch about your personal life. Privacy is important. I felt so gross after coming across that video in my instagram feed but it seems indicative of what is coming for us ahead.
You do realize that such AI-generated "glimpses" into someone's life are complete BS and they do not represent reality? What kind of "privacy invasion" are you talking about?
I would not condone idolizing people and lifestyle, especially celebrities. But hey, if it motivates someone to work harder to achieve their own dream life - let them go for it, as long as they can see through the shallowness of such role modeling.
