Nvidia Canvas
Today, I messed around with Nvidia Canvas, a really fun tool which lets you paint with the help of AI.
Out of the box, it comes with some pretty cool features:
paint with a brush - you basically apply “materials”
two canvases - on the left, it shows you your paint blots and on the right the outputted image
mostly realtime image creation
a few materials are available like rocks, trees, clouds, and more …
undo function
layer support
export to photoshop PSD format
overall “style” of work (bottom right) you can use to manipulate the image as a whole to match the style you want
Although it isn’t exactly “multimodal”, I think the UI of this application is beautifully done. I have got to admit - it’s an absolute joy to paint with AI. It’s so easy and fun! I feel like anyone can do this and as the models get better, it will only be even more impressive and addictive.
I felt like a kid again today - which can be a really refreshing thing. I really encourage you to download nvidia canvas yourself and take it for a spin, you’ll have a blast. I’m not sure what the local computer hardware requirements are to use it, but it worked just fine on my computer which is pretty new.
Also, here’s the final masterpiece you see above:
I will be auctioning it as an NFT for 10 million dollars later next week haha. Happy Friday everyone!
