I will miss the Slack community, too, but I am assuming that the driving consideration was that it wasn't going to keep scaling effectively. Already at 60,000+ members, which is a lot for a work team! I hope they will revisit the idea with smaller Slacks for more specific purposes.

Or *our* own! What would a fully GPT-3 powered Slack look like? It ought be able to answer 95% of the user questions while simultaneously nudged people into more valuable genuine interactions. What would an AGI's version of Slack be? The movie "Her", where the AI grows to the point that it realize it needs to step aside for its own sake and ours..

Agreed, it comes across as a short sighted corporate decision, when in reality, a community like that is invaluable. It's where the creativity and innovation happens, as people share ideas and experiences. It frustrates me that so many corporations fail to recognize the incredible asset that an active (developer or user) community can bring.
